I started out chasing the perfect wave, but as any surfer in Perth knows, that’s a rare thing here. Frustration led to experimenting, testing low light before sunrise, heading out in poor conditions, and slowly, photography became less about luck and more about planning, composition and restraint.

These days I’m drawn to the ever-changing nature of the ocean and the landscapes that lead to it. Form and light are what I’m chasing now.
